What do you do when a grown up woman comes up to your 19 year old face and brags about how her child is better than you. She might not have said it directly but it was really obvious what she did. We practice Karate, of course people are going to hit each other. Her kid got hit hard in the head but that she could not mention right. Because when her daughter hit me in a weird angle so that my theet got impaled in my lower lip it was talent, but when the other girl got her good in the head it was luck or a foul move.
I am just so shocked, and I feel so uncomfortable. I really do not want to see her again in a long time, because I do not know what to say to her. All of her family always brag about themselves and I am really fed up about it. The worst part is that the girl didn’t even say anything, it was her freaking mother. Another time one of the other mothers of someone on my team said I deserved to get hit in the nose because my guard was so bad. I do not want to be part of something that works this way. Were parents can go ahead and talk kids down, and talk me down. That makes me feel so uncomfortable and I just want to go around ignoring everyone and only talk to them if I have to or if they start the conversation.
I just wish people could treat eachother with respect in stead of talking shit about me. Because even though I am one of the oldest people there, I still feel insecure from time to time. I do not want to listen to what they say, and I do not really care about what they choose to say. But the fact that they actually talk shit about me both to my face and behind my face is what gets to me and makes me feel uncomfortable. This is why I hate people, they are two faced and suck. What happened to treat others the way you want to be treated. And STOP bragging about how fantastic your family, it is starting to get on my nerves.
and yes, I will be glad to leave this behind this summer. I might even quit before because the way things have been going lately, everyone will end up hating eachoter. Fuck people, they just create drama.
So my friends who go to a folkehøgskole (english wikipedia article) iin Telemark came home for a week in Feburary. They brought another girl who goes to their school with them because she couldn’t travel al the way home to the US for just one week. We decided (in a drunken state) that we were going to show her Bergen starting with Fløyen. Fløyen is one of the mountains around the city, and it has its own “train/railcar” that drives up (and down) the mountain. That is what the pictures are from. I also took some more pictures but most of them showed up grainy, blurry or just ugly.
I wish Emma Woodhouse was a real person. Yes, she is far from perfect but she is still so brave and brilliant at what she does. She has a way of getting everything to work out, even when she should not have interfered at all. And her fashion sense is just incredible. Even though she is naive, she learns from her mistakes. It would be much better for little girls to look up to someone like her, who could teach them to trust themselves and be proud of their abilities, in stead of other famous reality stars.
Fictional characters ftw.
So I went to Dublin, Ireland for a week with two good friends and two strangers for a week in the middle of December 2012. It was an amazing experiense and I had a lot of fun. The only regret I have is spending all my money on clothes and food.
Dame street, (Beautiful editing, Elena. Well thank you, do you really mean that? No.)
Now everytime we read a text from an Irish author or a text about Dublin in English class I picture this view, and the characters living in these houses.
Our English teacher also made us meet up with Oscar Wilde. I don’t know if you’ve heard of him. He is famous for saying some funny stuff and writing some text and poems and that kind of stuff.
We also befriended a snow man. He was all glowy from meeting such nice people as my friends.
and yes, this was where we had out not-so-romantic encounter with the wonderfull Mr. Wilde. And it is also the park that doubbled as narnia. Lampost pictures can privatly sent to you if you’re dying to see proof that we actually went there.
And in the words of Mr. Wilde: Always forgive your enemies – nothing annoys them so much.
This is my new addiction. I tried reading the books but the writing and characters are awful. The tv series on the other hand is absolutely fabulous. The fashion is so cute, the girls are great friends and Sebastian Kydd is a stud!
